A Spell to bring a dream into reality – From Darkness To Light
This is a spell for the time of year when the days are short and the nights are long. It’s wonderful to begin around the Winter Solstice, as it is a powerful threshold of death and rebirth, moving from darkness to light through the womb of the universe, the cave of dreams, the potency of ending a cycle and beginning a new one, the threshold of rest, renewal, transformation, and recreation.
What you’ll need:
A piece of paper, a pen, a candle, and a wish/dream/goal/intention
What you’ll do:
- Pick a candle that feels like it holds the kind of energy your dream/wish/goal/intention has and/or the energy that you feel you need to cultivate in order to bring this dream to life. (think color, shape, scent, etc’)
- Write an incantation to call forth your most inspired dream into being.
Use words that you love, words that fill you, words that bubble in you.
- Hold an image in your mind that contains the energy and charge of this dream.
- Light your candle.
- Read your incantation out loud three times.
- Stare into the candle flames for a few minutes, holding your dream in your mind.
- When you’re done, thank yourself and your environment for helping you, blow out the candle.
- For the next few days, or few weeks – basically until the candle is done burning – repeat those steps; Light the candle, hold the image, read your incantation, and hold your dream in your mind as you stare into the candle.
- Once the candle is gone, (safely) burn the paper with your incantation and thank yourself and the powers around you and within you for making it happen. Scatter the ashes somewhere you love, and if your candle is made of natural, non-toxic wax, bury it.
And so it is!
